In their first year in Division 1, the Colonials received a bid to the 2017 National Championship in Ft. Myers, FL. After last year's success in Division 2, Robert Morris made a name for themselves and looked forward to the challenge of playing the best collegiate players in the country.
RMU was placed in a bracket with Western Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, Mizzou, and Hofstra University. The Colonials had some highlight reel goals (and saves) in their hard-fought wins against Hofstra and Eastern Michigan. (Check out our Video page or YouTube channel to see what you missed!) Complete games with a play-by-play announcer are also posted.
After pool play was complete, the Colonials faced a fast Cal Poly team (ranked #12 in the country). It was a good learning experience for Bobby Mo and their eight new players this season. They look forward to next season as they hope to continue to grow the program at RMU. They are excited to be bringing on a handful of freshman players who look to make an immediate impact on the team.
Thanks to everyone who has followed along this season! We can't wait to get back out there in the fall. Let's go Bobby Mo!!
