2018-19 Season Preview

The 2018-19 season kicks off with the annual ECRHA Columbus Day weekend event in Feasterville, PA. The Colonials will get their first taste of the newly formed Division II and look to set the pace for the rest of the season. Here's what you can expect:

Captain Dan Trunk

Veteran Power

Bobby Mo enters their fourth straight season competing in the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association (NCRHA). Their roster this season consists of many returning players who are looking to use their experience to their advantage. Many of this year's roster have played in at least one National Championship. Many people across the league consider the Colonials one of the teams that could capture the Division II National Championship in April. Robert Morris will look to their veteran presence to get them there.

Alternate Captain Jesse Zahn

Strong Playmakers

A handful of current Colonials were named to the Top 25 Players list this preseason. Last season's leading scorers Jesse Zahn, Cam Zahn and Sean Lawrence will be looked at to continue challenging opponents offensively. With the return of blueliner and Captain Dan Trunk, Bobby Mo should have one of the strongest offensive teams in the league.

Goaltender Paul Schreiber

Confidence Between the Pipes

Returning goaltender, Paul Schreiber had a strong season between the pipes for the Colonials last year. Expect the same this season. Paul had previously played for Penn State in the beginning of his collegiate career, so he knows what to expect against many of the opponents this year. Over the summer, he was ranked as one of the top goaltenders of the league. He will unofficially serve as one of the Associate Captains this season. Look for him to be in the conversation for Goaltender of the Year.
